- The product is designed for practicing Heimlich maneuver. The Manikin is designed according to infant chatacteristics and suitable for airway foreign body emergency. Airway foreign body is common in infant children due to immature epiglottal cartilage and unsound function. It is easy to inhale the contents into laugh and do active activities with contents in the mouth, it would cause airway obstruction and choking.
- Back nlow method: Let patient ride and pronate on the rescuer's arm with head lower than trunk, fix head and thigh, then blow patient back forcefully 4-6 times with the other hand, so that a sudden increase in airway pr and discharge the foreign body.
- Chest thurst method: Let patient in supine position and hold in rescuer's arm, with head a little lower than trunk; press the middle part between two nipples4-6 times with two fingers. When necessary, the two methods can be interchangeably used until the foreign body is discharged or patient loss consciousness.

- Ambu Man is a modular system. It can be equipped with a tried and tested mechanical monitoring instrument that gives you instant feedback on ventilation volume, stomach inflation, chest compression depth and wrong hand position.
- PC connection is possible on this model, allowing connection of Ambu CPR Software Kit (wireless router required). The I.V. Trainer arm can be mounted on all Ambu manikins. In addition, an upgrade kit (arms & legs)(product # A234000706) can be purchased to convert the Ambu Man Torso into a Full-Body manikin.
- Like all Ambu BLS manikins, the Ambu Man has the patented hygienic system that eliminates the risk of cross infections. All trainees receive their own face piece and head bag for the training. At the end of the training, the face piece can be cleaned and the head bag is discarded. A truly 100% hygienic way of training.
- To create more variance in the training, the stiffness of the chest can be changed and adjusted with just one screw.
- The Ambu Man W (Wireless) does not need cables and wires, which means it can be placed in realistic surroundings away from the computers and power supplies. This gives a great amount of freedom during training and because there are no wires or cables lying around it gives an even more realistic scenario. The manikin is also equipped with a mechanical monitoring instrument showing effectiveness of the resuscitation, including results achieved for ventilation volume and depth of external chest compression. Moreover, it indicates any stomach inflation and incorrect hand positioning.
- The airway of all manikins open only when the head is correctly hyper extended. A carotid pulse can be activated manually by the instructor. It is also activated during chest compressions.
- The lifelike anatomy makes it suitable for training a correct placement of defib pads in training use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED).
